Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission have jointly filed a motion seeking an indicative ruling from Judge Analisa Torres of the Southern District of New York on whether she would dissolve a previously imposed injunction against Ripple. If granted, dissolving the injunction would allow Ripple to resume XRP sales to institutional investors, a move that could significantly boost its business prospects and reignite bullish momentum for the token. The motion also requests Judge Torres to release $125 million held in escrow, with $50 million allocated to the SEC as a civil penalty and the remaining $75 million returned to Ripple.
